EFL League Two is the fourth and final tier of the Football League: 24 clubs, 46 games apiece, and the last rung before the National League. Its promotion structure is unlike anything above it. Three clubs go up automatically rather than two, and a fourth comes through a play-off bracket that regularly throws up a seventh placed side lifting the trophy at Wembley. At the other end, two clubs drop out of the EFL entirely, which gives the bottom of the table a weight the rest of English football does not carry.

For a predictor, that structure creates a season with far more live matches than a top division. In March there can still be fifteen clubs with something genuine to play for, so very few fixtures drift into a flat goalless afternoon. Games are also more open than the tier's reputation suggests: smaller squads mean injuries and suspensions bite harder, managers change often, and a side can look promoted one month and mid-table the next.

Compared with the Premier League, the information advantage almost disappears. There is little national television coverage, no wall of analysis and no consensus scoreline for each fixture, so a predictor who simply follows the form table and respects home advantage competes perfectly well with someone who follows the division week in, week out. It is the friendliest division on the site for a newcomer who wants a fair fight.

The game itself is straightforward. You call an exact scoreline for every fixture in the round before kick-off. An exact scoreline is worth 3 points, the correct result with the wrong scoreline is worth 1 point, and predictions lock the second a match starts. Across 46 rounds the fourth tier rewards discipline. Low scoring calls land more often than the highlight reel suggests, and predictors who stay consistent through the winter tend to be the ones still top when the play-off places are settled in April.
